OMG! Not the ankle under the bed! Anything but that. Nothing freaks me out quite like something underneath you, grabbing your ankles.

WTF? Are they living out of the car now?

I love that Dean would have eaten the sandwich that was there for a long time, except that it was tuna.

*hugs Dean* I would have assumed it was a trap, too. That kid sounded like the perfect kid for John, though.

I just can't see John as having sex with anyone. I mean, he devoted his whole life to avenging Mary's death.

When he was 12? That would have been around the time Sam went off to college, if he was born in 1990.

John was a better "dad" to that kid than he was to either of the boys.

Trust me, kid. You don't want to know
Dean saying that made me remember when he was talking to Sam's body about how when he was a kid, he kept telling him that.

I love Sam beating Dean at "rock paper scissors." Sammy does always win. Anybody notice if they did the same move as they did in "Heart?" Is it a repetition thing, a Sammy psychic thing, or a Dean letting Sam win thing?

Dean's awesome. I love that he wanted to protect him from the knowledge.

I like that he said he trusted them just because they were his brother. It was the same way when Dean told Sam.

That's great that Sam and Adam were bonding.

That breaks my heart. Poor Sammy's never going to have peace.

Second time Jared's had something grab him by the ankles in a horror movie/show.

Oh, wow, Sammy has officially turned into John Winchester. I love that Dean called him on it.

I'm thinking they both deserve to feel jealous of Adam. He had what they never had.

I really don't like seeing Sammy get tortured like that. That was hurting me. I love Dean busting in and helping Sammy.

Oh, wow, Dean was ticked. That whole "saving Sammy" scene was awesome, though. And, I love Dean taking care of Sammy.

YAY! I love it when they're like that.

I love that scene between the brothers. I want some kind of a hug this season, though.

I really loved Adam, and the boys bonding with him, but I am not sure how to accept the fact that John had a secret family, I really was invested in his eternal love and devotion to Mary. Sam and Dean really need to hug, talk things through, they are just going through the motions, it's heartbreaking. And yeah, why were they sleeping in the car? Motels are cheap, especially the horrible places they stay in.

Such a sad ep, Dean's pain at knowing John 'played' the dad to Adam whilst they never saw him in that role :((((

I didn't like that Adam was dead all along, I would have liked him to live, though I understand what Sam said about Armageddon being just round the corner and he needed to know that, and Dean trying to protect him from this, as he would have Sam given the chance!!

Sammy's blood tasting strange - such a good episode, and it makes me more fearful for the end of the series

I think the way they handled the third brother thing was awesome. I'm actually glad it ended up the way it did.

the beginning of the episode was really good!
it's nice to see them doing normal things... and it was a nice "we are family" moment! XD

the rock, paper, scissors thing is epic! it's a little like the Jerk bitch thing. It's so them!!!
Also Dean called Sam Sammy again!!!! I smelled old times there! :)))))

I really didn't expect the kid to be dead and to be a monster! O.O
that was a huge surprise!
and anyway this whole third brother thing wasn't as bad as I thought... I think it was pretty cool actually. I think people got scared because they thought the brother was going to stay and interfere with Sam/Dean relationship, but Kripke wouldn't have done that.

I thought Sam became like John in this season and now I have the confirmation...
he can only think about revenge and it's like hunting became all his life, all his being...

That creeps the crap out of me! I used to check under the bed before putting my feet down when I was younger... probably I'll start doing that from now on again.

I completely agree with you... both boys have more than enough reasons to be envious of Adam... after all he had the normal life and the father they always dreamed of, and I think it was that feeling that led them to do what they each did... too bad it was completely opposite directions. Dean on one hand wanted to protect him at any cost... keeping him from harm and from becoming a hunter like they had, while Sam wanted to teach him how to protect himself, how to fight back. I think they both did it for that same feeling of knowing what he was going through. =)

I liked the horror aspect of the episode, but I'm not sure how to feel about John's second family.
Also I don't quite get why they would introduce this now. I mean, it felt a little like a desparate attempt to have John still be part of the show.

Yeah, I know. With everything else they're dealing with, it did seem a bit overkill.
