Title: Ghost of Reid
Pairing: None; gen
Rating: PG
Fandom: Criminal Minds
Spoilers for episodes 2.15-2.18, but not detailed spoilers.
Written for Prompt #32: Ghost in [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
After Georgia, Reid was a ghost of himself, a mere reflection of what they had before he was taken from them. They tried to ignore it, tried to pretend that nothing had changed, that everything was fine. Reid came back to work so quickly, and the psychiatrist hadn’t seen anything out of the ordinary, so they went through the motions and assumed that he was fine. It was easy to ignore how jumpy he was on the first case, how he stared at the crime scene photos just like Elle had, and to even brush off his concerns as “empathy.” On the second case, the cracks started to show, but it was easier to use the excuse that he was just having a bad day. And, it wasn’t until New Orleans, when he disappeared on them, that they started to admit defeat. They had only got a ghost of Reid back, but it wasn’t too late to make things better. They had to make things better.

Date: 2008-02-21 07:04 pm (UTC)I used to like the show at lot... Until they introduced Paget Brewster. After that, the only thing keeping my interest was the friendship between Reid and Morgan and later, if that seeme do slowly vanish. So I dropped the show. You will have to tell me how you like S3 so far, okie?
