This is the biggest reason I wish they would keep strong female characters alive on SPN. When I first heard there would be two new female characters in the summer between first and second season, I was apprehensive, but after her being on the screen for a few minutes, I fell in love with her. She is just this strong woman who was a mother figure to the boys for a while, and her attitude is one that I would hang out with her if I met someone in real life like her.

Damn, I miss Ellen. If ever the boys needed a strong mother figure to smack them in the heads for being stupid, it's this season. Freaking writers and their anti-strong women mentality....grrr.

I adore her. The boys so need her, and she would have helped with logic in the storyline this season. And, you know, every time we see a strong female, I know we're going to see her die and that just breaks me a little.

Totally. Ellen would've been the one bit of logic with this season's story line. I've only watched half the episodes in season 8, and from the looks of things, it would've have mattered had I watched all of them. It's Carver, he pulls this crap all the time: tons of build-up, with absolutely no resolution.

This show irks me with its consistenly killing off strong female characters. I get that it's a show which revolves around two brothers, but wouldn't said boys need some strong women around at times?

I liked this season, but the boys needed a little guidance.

Yeah, I wanted to keep some of the females.

She's one of my favorite characters from the whole show. And yeah, Samantha Ferris did a great job.
